According to the BCC, workers in London have been warned about the dangers of asbestos following recent statistics which show London has one of the highest rates of asbestos related deaths in the UK.
60 women in Barking and Dagenham, east London died from asbestos related cancer between 1981 and 2005 which is five times the national mortality rate.
It killed 2,663 men in London for the same period with carpenters plumbers and joiners being at considerable risk.
