According to the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers , (APIL), bills aiming to return the right to compensation for people with pleural plaques are due to be debated in both houses of Parliament tomorrow.
The Damages (Asbestos-Related Conditions) Bill has been introduced in the House of Lords by Baroness Quin and in the Commons by Andrew Dismore MP.
As the Bills are independent of each other, one will have to pass through both Houses prior to Parliament being dissolved for the election, in order to become law. Both Bills are third on the list to be debated today.
We keep our fingers crossed and will provide further updates when we receive further information.
